Today I’ll be showing you how to draw Alakazam, Pokemon #65. Alakazam might be the most famous psychic type pokemon of the entire series, and he’s also one of my personal favorites! He’s well known for being the most intelligent pokemon of the first generation. So get your pencils ready and let’s learn how to draw Alakazam!
To get Alakazam started, we will first need to draw a series of three shapes stacked on top of each other. These shapes will form Alakazam’s head, chest and abdomen.
Next we need to outline Alakazam’s lower part of his face by drawing three triangular shapes at the bottom of the circle from the first step.
Next, draw Alakazam’s large triangular shaped ears, and his long mustache sticking out from the tip of his nose.
Alakazam’s face is incredibly simple—two triangular shaped eyes that connect to lines running down his nose, and two tiny dots for his nostrils.
Next, draw two circles on either side of Alakazam’s head for his shoulders.
Now we will need to start Alakazam’s arms by drawing two small rectangles sticking out of his shoulders with two much larger oval shapes at the end for his forearms.
At the end of his forearms, draw two oval shapes which will serve as the base for Alakazam’s hands.
Next, draw three fingers curled in toward each other on each of Alakazam’s hands.
Now we need to draw Alakazam’s famous spoons— one in each hand as shown in the image.
Draw two large curved shapes underneath Alakazam’s body for his legs.
At the end of each leg, draw Alakazam’s large, sharp toes.
Finally, draw two circular shaped knee pads on each of Alakazam’s legs.
All that’s left to do now is to give Alakazam some color. Just like Abra and Kadabra, Alakazam is mostly yellow with brown for his armored areas. And that’s it, he’s all done! I hope you enjoyed learning how to draw Alakazam with me. If you did, be sure to check out my other tutorials on how to draw Abra and Kadabra. Happy drawing!
