Today I’ll be showing you how to draw Abra, Pokemon #63. Abra is a small psychic pokemon who sort of resembles a cross between a cat and a kangaroo. He just might be in the running for the cutest psychic type as well! So grab your pencils and let’s learn how to draw Abra!
To get Abra started we will first need to draw two ovals, one on top of the other. The top oval will be for Abra’s head and the bottom oval will be for his body.
Next, draw Abra’s nose along the bottom edge of the top circle along with two slits for his eyes and two dots for his nostrils.
Erase your overlapping lines and draw two triangular shaped ears on top of Abra’s head.
Now we will get Abra’s legs started by drawing two oval shapes near the bottom of his body for his upper legs.
Draw two more oval shapes attached to the first ones to form his bottom legs. We will be drawing Abra in a seated position, as he is usually known for lying around.
At the end of each leg, draw a triangular leg for Abra’s feet.
Next, draw Abra’s toes—three on each foot.
Now we can move back up to Abra’s arms, which we will start by drawing two large circular shapes on each side of his head. These will form a sort of shoulder pad above each of his arms.
Next, draw two thin arms extending downward from each of Abra’s shoulders.
Draw two wider oval shapes at the end of Abra’s arms to form his thick forearms.
We will finish Abra’s arms by drawing three pointed fingers at the end of each one.
Lastly, draw a long tail with a stripe extending out from Abra’s back.
All that’s left to do now is to give Abra some color. He is mostly yellow with brown accents on his shoulders, chest and tail. And he’s all done! I hope you enjoyed learning how to draw Abra with me. If you did, be sure to stop back for plenty more tutorials. Happy drawing!
