Today I’ll be showing you how to draw Tommy Pickles from the classic Nickelodeon show, The Rugrats. Tommy is the main character of The Rugrats, and usually is seen as the “leader” of the group. So, get your pencils and paper ready, and let’s learn how to draw Tommy Pickles!
To get Tommy started, we will first need to draw two large circles. These circles will form Tommy’s head and body.
Next, draw the outline of Tommy’s upper and lower lips to form a smile.
Draw Tommy Pickles’ lower jaw attached to the bottom of the circle of his head.
Next, erase your overlapping lines, and draw Tommy’s two large oval shaped eyes with a tiny dot inside each one for the pupils.
Draw a tiny nose between Tommy’s eyes, and give him a thin eyebrow above each of his eyes.
Next, draw a “C” shape for Tommy’s ear and a few tiny hairs on top of his head.
Draw the arms of Tommy’s t-shirt between his head and body.
Next, draw Tommy’s lower arms sticking out of each hole of his t-shirt.
Now we can give Tommy his hands to complete his arms.
Draw a couple curved lines under Tommy’s arms to form the bottom of his t-shirt.
Next, draw the outline of Tommy’s lumpy diaper wrapping around the bottom of the oval shape of his body.
Now we need to draw Tommy’s upper legs sticking out from below his diaper as shown in the image.
Lastly, we will just need to draw Tommy’s feet and a couple small lines in the middle of his legs for his knees.
All that’s left to do now is to give Tommy some color. He is very pale—almost white, with a light blue t-shirt. And that’s it! I hope you enjoyed learning how to draw Tommy Pickles with me. If you did, be sure to stop back for plenty more tutorials. Happy drawing!
