Hey everyone, today I’ll be showing you how to draw Blastoise, Pokemon #009. Blastoise is the evolved form of Squirtle and Wartortle, and resembles a cross between a tortoise and a dinosaur. He also happens to be one of the most popular pokemon ever. So, without further intro, let’s learn how to draw Blastoise!
To get Blastoise started we will first need to draw two circles, one large one for his body, and a smaller circle on top for his head.
Next, draw Blastoise’s nose and his upper jaw across the center of the smaller circle.
Next, draw Blastoise’s bottom jaw to give him a wide open mouth.
We will finish the rest of Blastoise’s face by drawing his triangular eyes, and two smaller triangle shapes on top of his head for his ears.
Next, draw the middle section of Blastoise’s shell with a large circle in the center of it. This circle is where Blastoise’s arm will be placed.
Next, draw two more circles on each side of his body for the rest of Blastoise’s arms.
At the end of each of Blastoise’s hands, draw three large claws.
Next, draw two large oval shapes underneath of Blastoise’s body for the upper part of his legs.
Draw the lower part of Blastoise’s legs including two very large claws on his feet.
Blastoise is famous for his two huge water cannons which we will create by first drawing two large square shapes on the back of his shell.
Inside each of the squares, draw a long tube shape for Blastoise’s cannons.
Now all that’s left to do is give Blastoise some color. As usual, since he’s a water type pokemon, the majority of Blastoise’s body is blue. Give him a dark brown for the back of his shell, and a light beige color for his belly and he’s all done! I hope you enjoyed learning how to draw Blastoise with me.
