How To Draw A Cartoon Bat

Today we’ll be learning how to draw a cartoon bat. Since I have been doing so many of these cartoon tutorials, I’ve had this requested a couple times. So, let’s not put it off any longer.

Let’s get going!

To get your cartoon bat started, you’ll first need to draw an oval for the body, and a circle to the upper left of that for the bat’s head.

Next, outline the cartoon bat’s nose and mouth, and draw a line connecting the back of the head and body together to form a neck.

Next, draw a large angled line for the outline of the outer part of the cartoon bat’s wing.

Now, draw about three or four lines running down the length of the bat’s wing to form the bones, and draw a line connecting the tip of the wing to the bat’s body.

If you are having trouble with this step, I did a tutorial on how to draw bat wings here.

Repeat the previous two steps to form the other wing of your bat, and give him two large triangular ears on top of his head.

Now, draw two feet just barely sticking out from below the cartoon bat’s body, and give him a very small triangular tail.

Finally, draw two large oval eyes on the front of the bat’s face.

Color him in, and add this cartoon bat to your collection!
